Wishing our wonderful community a safe, restful, and joyful Easter break. Thank you for your continued support this term. We look forward to welcoming you back next term, refreshed and ready for another great chapter together! ☺️ Reminders: School starts back on Wednesday the 30th of April. Over the school holidays, St Michael’s will be running a ‘Holiday Reading Challenge.’ All you need to do is snap a picture of you and your child enjoying a book - extra points for the most creative holiday reading locations! How to enter: Take a photo of your child and yourself enjoying a book. Email the photo to stmichaelsblktn@parra.catholic.edu.au with attention to Mrs Pullen. Please add a caption, including the title of the book and the location the photo was taken (Holiday hint: it could be while you are out and about, camping, travelling etc.) The school email will be checked regularly and photos will be uploaded to our St Michael’s Facebook page. All photo entries will be added into a draw to win a prize. There will be three prizes to give away at our first Term 2 assembly. We look forward to receiving updates of your holiday reading adventures!

A reminder for Year 1 families: Our excursion to Sydney SeaLife and WildLife is tomorrow (Thursday 10th April). Your children will need to come dressed in their sports uniform, including their hat and bring a small excursion bag. They also need to bring an easy to eat recess and lunch. Please ensure your children are at school at 8:30am.

Massive tournament day for St Michael's in the Chess world. A record 211 students showed up to Glenmore Park for a day of competition. St Michael's crushed it! One student finishing in 3rd and 4th place individually, leading our school team to finish 2nd place overall and qualify for the Regional Semi Finals in T3. Congratulations to these students who won their spot on that team!

A reminder for our events for tomorrow that parents are welcome to attend: 11:45am- Holy Week Prayer 2pm- Drawing of the Easter Raffle- As we have quite a few prizes, we will only be drawing the larger prizes at this time and the smaller prizes will be drawn the following day and given out in classes for children to bring home.

A reminder we have our Harmony Day celebrations tomorrow. We encourage students to either wear the colour orange or something that represents their culture such as a national costume or hat. Parents and Carers are welcome to attend the following parts of tomorrow: 9:15am: Harmony Day Liturgy and costumes parade from our students. 9.50am: Nagle College students will perform cultural dances for our students. 2pm- Final whole school assembly for Term 1
